Seat Lock Cover Removal
The seat lock cover provides some measure of protection from dust collecting in the lock mechanism however, it does not seem to be dust-proof or waterproof. The seat itself will keep most of the dust and water away from the lock.
At just over one and a half ounces in weight, the seat lock cover is not one of the bigger weight loss mods. However, it all adds up. Being that it is not vital to keep the seat lock cover installed, and that it is easily removed, there is no reason to not leave it off of the bike.
